Our senior pastor, Dr. David Campbell, has previously served at Cornerstone in Newnan, Georgia (99-05) Inman (93-99) and Fairview in Ft. Oglethorpe (88-93) and Cassville (86-88). He earned his Bachelor's Degree in 1986 from Georgia State University and his Master of Divinity in 1988 from Candler School of Theology. In 1994 he received his Doctor of Ministry degree from United Theological Seminary. After serving for several years as an Army Reserve Chaplain, he was mobilized in April of 2003 for a year in Baghdad. Campbell is married to the former Susan Allen and they have three children, Hannah 17, Jay 15 and Ally 11.

Rev. James Turrentine

Rev. James (Jim) Turrentine came to Trinity as Associate Pastor in January 2008. He has been a member of the North Georgia Annual Conference since 1966, accepting and ministering in 7 appointments and serving on numerous Conference and District boards and agencies from that time until his retirement from the full-time pastorate in 2006.
Jim was born in Corbin, Kentucky. He is a graduate of Asbury College and received his M. Div. degree from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Ky. He and his wife, Joan (Shaw) were married in the Trinity sanctuary in 1963 by her father, Rev. Charles Shaw, who was pastor of Trinity at that time. They have two grown children who also live in Rome and are educators in the Floyd Country School System. Jim and Joan are blessed with 6 grandchildren, ranging in age from 9-17.

J. Grant Magness

Grant has served as Director of Youth Ministries at Trinity since May of 1996. A native of Winder, Ga and a member of Harmony Grove United Methodist Church in Auburn, GA, Grant first came to Rome in the fall of 1992 as a freshman at Berry College. In 1996, he graduated from Berry College with a degree in Religion/Philosophy. His major advisor and mentor during his undergraduate studies was the late Reverend Dr. Jorge Gonzalez. Upon completion of his undergraduate studies, Grant attended the Candler School of Theology at Emory University, where he graduated in 1998 with the Master of Theological Studies degree.
Grant and his wife, Rachel, were married on October 14, 2001 by Reverend Floyd Tenney. In March of 1999, Grant and Rachel founded Hot Shots Cheerleading and Tumbling Center in Rome, a competitive cheerleading facility designed to develop the self-esteem and confidence of youth by participation in the disciplines of gymnastics and All Star Cheerleading. Grant's passions are music, teaching, and historical theology.

Jennifer Goble
Director of Children and Family Ministries

Jennifer Goble joined Trinity as Director of Children and Family Ministries in September of 2010. She graduated from Berry College in May of 2010 with a B.S. Degree in Early Childhood Education. She graduated from Rome High in 2005. Jennifer was actively involved in the Children's Ministry at West Rome Baptist from 2002 until 2007. She joined Horizon Baptist Fellowship of Summerville, Georgia with her husband in 2007 where she has led a Sunday School class for 3rd through 5th graders, led a revival program for the children, co-directed VBS in 2010, and volunteered in other areas of the children's ministry.
Jen is married to Robert Goble III (Trey), and they have a young son, James who is 3. Trey is the nephew of Sandra and Lynn Popham who have been members of Trinity for many years. They are living in Summerville where Trey owns a retail and repair computer store, Computer Central. Jen enjoys teaching, reading, writing, dancing, and being with her family.

Kam Malone & Debra Malone

Kam earned his Bachelors’ Degree in Music Education from Shorter College and his Master of Music Degree from Georgia State University. He is a former director of the Rome Boys' Choir and Rome Children's Choir. Kam has taught music in the public schools for 24 years and is currently the Choral Director at Pepperell High School.
Debra earned her Bachelors’ Degree in Music Education from Georgia State University, and her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of West Georgia. Debra taught Music in the public schools for 21 years. She is currently the Assistant Principal at Holsonbeck Elementary School.
Kam and Debra Malone came to Trinity in 2001 bringing with them wonderful musical talents and positive, uplifting spirits. They have three children, Jacob, Katie, and Johnny.

Lee Shealy

Lee owns Ready or Not, Inc., a music production company that does sound and light production and musical performances. They have been providing top quality entertainment and production services throughout the Southeast since 1986. Ready or Not production events include: concerts by Brad Paisley, Casting Crowns, Willie Nelson, Little Big Town and many others as well as corporate events and fund raisers including: Heart of the Community, Governor Roy Barnes' Winter Holiday Ball and others.
Lee has worked in the music industry with various groups for over 30 years. He and his wife Sheilah recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. They and their son Morgan, have been at Trinity for more than 10 years. Lee graduated from Berry College with a B. A. in music education. He since has earned two Masters degrees: in music education and in piano performance.

Terri Epperson

Terri Epperson began working as our Church Secretary in February 2004. A native of Plainville, Georgia, Terri graduated from Calhoun High and attended Dalton College. She was Office Manager/Instructor at Rome Driver Improvement Clinic for over 7 years before coming to Trinity. Husband, Dudley, is the lead refrigeration mechanic at Dominos Pizza in Kennesaw. The Eppersons have two children: son Tyler, who is 21 and daughter Tabitha, who is 17 and a grandson, Luke, who was born August 14, 2008. They are members of Doyle Road Baptist Church. Terri enjoys antique hunting, reading, singing, playing piano and traveling with her family.

Deborah Shaw Lewis

Deborah and her husband Gregg have five children who have grown up at Trinity UMC. Andrew, their oldest, a missionary to inner-city youth, lives in Wilmore, Kentucky. Matthew and his wife Emily live in Vermont, where she is a first grade teacher and he is a research physicist. Lisette is an art teacher in Lexington, Kentucky. Benjamin is in a doctoral program in ancient languages, at Catholic University of America. And Jonathan is a college sophomore at Asbury College in Kentucky.
Deborah has a B. A. in Elementary Education from Asbury College and an M. A. in Early Childhood Education from the Erikson Institute & Loyola University. She has eight years experience in administering child care programs, three as the director of a day care center and five as PALS director from 1991-96. She is also the author of 16 books, including Motherhood Stress, Mother in the Middle, Seven From Heaven, Stressbusters for Moms and a series of books on family storytelling.

Mary Ann has attended Trinity her entire life. She graduated from Georgia Highlands College with an Associates Degree in Human Services. She is married to Pete and has one son, Colton, who is 13. She enjoys working with families, children, and is a regular volunteer with Friends of Foster Families. She has also worked as a Parent Aide with the Exchange Club Family Resource Center for three years. In the past at Trinity, mary Ann has taught Sunday School & Children’s Church, helped with T.N.T. classes, and worked as co-organizer for Trunk or Treat and Jesus in the Park’s “Community Resource Fair”.
