Our senior pastor, Dr. David Campbell, has previously served at Cornerstone in Newnan, Georgia (99-05) Inman (93-99) and Fairview in Ft. Oglethorpe (88-93) and Cassville (86-88). He earned his Bachelor's Degree in 1986 from Georgia State University and his Master of Divinity in 1988 from Candler School of Theology. In 1994 he received his Doctor of Ministry degree from United Theological Seminary. After serving for several years as an Army Reserve Chaplain, he was mobilized in April of 2003 for a year in Baghdad. Campbell is married to the former Susan Allen and they have three children, Hannah 17, Jay 15 and Ally 11.

Rev. Dr. Wayne Hopper

The Reverend Dr. Wayne Hopper received his M.Div from Candler school of Theology, Emory University in 1968 and his Ph.D in pastoral counseling in 1988 from Andersonville Seminary.
He has served as an ordained elder in the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church since 1970. Prior to his retirement as a full-time elder, He last served as pastor of the Mount Tabor UMC from 1990 to 2010. He has been married to the former Shirley Wrye since 1964 and has two children and four grandchildren.

Grant has served as Director of Youth Ministries at Trinity since May of 1996. A native of Winder, Ga and a member of Harmony Grove United Methodist Church in Auburn, GA, Grant first came to Rome in the fall of 1992 as a freshman at Berry College. In 1996, he graduated from Berry College with a degree in Religion/Philosophy. His major advisor and mentor during his undergraduate studies was the late Reverend Dr. Jorge Gonzalez. Upon completion of his undergraduate studies, Grant attended the Candler School of Theology at Emory University, where he graduated in 1998 with the Master of Theological Studies degree.
Grant and his wife, Rachel, were married on October 14, 2001 by Reverend Floyd Tenney. In March of 1999, Grant and Rachel founded Hot Shots Cheerleading and Tumbling Center in Rome, a competitive cheerleading facility designed to develop the self-esteem and confidence of youth by participation in the disciplines of gymnastics and All Star Cheerleading. Grant's passions are music, teaching, and historical theology.

Kristen Vardy

Kristen Vardy joined Trinity as the Director of Children and Family Ministries in July of 2011. She has been a member since 2003 and has been actively involved in Children's Ministry since she joined the church. Kristen served as the Children's Coordinator for 4 years and has taught Sunday School for 6 years. She also volunteered at the Wednesday night children's programs and with the Confirmation program. Kristen was part of the team that started Route 67 serveral years ago for our 6th graders as they transition into youth and Confirmation. Kristen previously worked as the Senior Vice President of Community Banking at River City Bank.
Kristen is married to Richard Vardy. They have two children, Isaac and Olivia, and their family currently resides in Rome. Kristen enjoys the outdoors, spending time with her family, making crafts (especially with her kids), and working with the children at Trinity.

Kam Malone

Kam earned his Bachelors’ Degree in Music Education from Shorter College and his Master of Music Degree from Georgia State University. He is a former director of the Rome Boys' Choir and Rome Children's Choir. Kam has taught music in the public schools for 24 years and is currently the Choral Director at Pepperell High School.
Kam Malone came to Trinity in 2001 bringing with him a wonderful musical talent and positive, uplifting spirit. He is married to Debra Malone and they have three children: Jacob, Katie, and Johnny.

Terri Epperson

Terri Epperson began working as our Church Secretary in February 2004. A native of Plainville, Georgia, Terri graduated from Calhoun High and attended Dalton College. She was Office Manager/Instructor at Rome Driver Improvement Clinic for over 7 years before coming to Trinity. Husband, Dudley, is the lead refrigeration mechanic at Dominos Pizza in Kennesaw. The Eppersons have two children: son Tyler, who is 21 and daughter Tabitha, who is 18 and a grandson, Luke, who was born August 14, 2008. They are members of Doyle Road Baptist Church. Terri enjoys antique hunting, reading, singing, playing piano and traveling with her family.

Deborah Shaw Lewis

Deborah and her husband Gregg have five children who have grown up at Trinity UMC. Andrew, their oldest, a missionary to inner-city youth, lives in Wilmore, Kentucky. Matthew and his wife Emily live in Vermont, where she is a first grade teacher and he is a research physicist. Lisette is an art teacher in Lexington, Kentucky. Benjamin is in a doctoral program in ancient languages, at Catholic University of America. And Jonathan is a college sophomore at Asbury College in Kentucky.
Deborah has a B. A. in Elementary Education from Asbury College and an M. A. in Early Childhood Education from the Erikson Institute & Loyola University. She has eight years experience in administering child care programs, three as the director of a day care center and five as PALS director from 1991-96. She is also the author of 16 books, including Motherhood Stress, Mother in the Middle, Seven From Heaven, Stressbusters for Moms and a series of books on family storytelling.

Mary Ann Sailors

Mary Ann has attended Trinity her entire life. She graduated from Georgia Highlands College with an Associates Degree in Human Services. She is married to Pete and has one son, Colton, who is 13. She enjoys working with families, children, and is a regular volunteer with Friends of Foster Families. She has also worked as a Parent Aide with the Exchange Club Family Resource Center for three years. In the past at Trinity, mary Ann has taught Sunday School & Children’s Church, helped with T.N.T. classes, and worked as co-organizer for Trunk or Treat and Jesus in the Park’s “Community Resource Fair”.

Natalie Ferguson

Natalie is a member here at Trinity and became the financial secretary in December 2010. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, as well as a Masters of Business Administration from Berry College. A Certified Public Accountant, she has worked in the field for over ten years. Natalie is currently a stay at home mom for her two boys, Brock and Grady.

Shelley

Having been a member of Trinity for several years, Shelley Reid joined the staff as church pianist in January 2011. Previously, Shelley was the accompanist at Fifth Avenue Baptist Church (2006-2010) and Summit Baptist Church (2000-2005). She holds bachelor's degrees from the University of Akron in piano performance and piano accompaniment. As well as being a church pianist, Shelley also teaches private piano lessons and is a martial arts instructor. She and her husband, Monty, have three children: Christina, Clay, and Anna Rose.

Caroline Ennis

Caroline Ennis is in the Speech Pathology Undergraduate Program at the University of West Georgia. She is a ministry leader at the University of West Georgia working for Christian Campus Fellowship where she ministers to women and leads worship weekly. She has studied music for 13 years, concentrating on piano. She has grown up at Trinity and is a product of the Trinity Youth Group.
Rev. Ruth Shaw

Ruth Baird Shaw is an elder in the United Methodist Church and has served churches in the North Georgia Conference since 1986. She is the widow of The Reverend Charles C. Shaw who was a United Methodist Elder and served as pastor of Trinity, 1962-1967. Charles and Ruth Shaw are the parents of seven children, three of who are members at Trinity.
Ruth holds a Master of Divinity degree from Candler School of Theology, Emory University. She earned a bachelor degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the College of Arts and Science at Georgia State University where she also was certified in Gerontology for work in the field of aging.
Ruth served as pastor of: Rico United Methodist Church in Palmetto, Grantville First United Methodist in Grantville and East Point Avenue United Methodist Church in East Point. She also has read her poetry and spoken to many church and civic groups, including the Civitan Club at Fort McPherson for 4 consecutive Christmas banquets and read her poetry as "Storytelling" to an Elder Hostel group at Berry College.
Ruth is a the author of The Chronicles of Ruth, Life with Wings, and Recipes, Rhymes and Reflections. She has maintained a Web Log since 2005.
Since retiring to Rome, Ruth has served on the staff at Trinity United Methodist Church for 4 years, served as interim pastor of Lyerly United Methodist Church for 5 months after their pastor became ill and was pastor at Oostanaula United Methodist Church for 13 months and Livingston Methodist in June 2006 to June 2007.
