The adult choir program at Trinity offers two styles of worship music. In our early (8:30 AM) service, the Praise Choir leads the congregation in contemporary Christian songs and choruses. Worship music from the Celebration Hymnal is enhanced with piano, guitar, movement, and congregational clapping. The Praise Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 7:00 PM in the choir room. The Praise Choir does not wear robes.
The Chancel Choir leads worship for the 9:45 and 11:00 AM services. Traditional anthems as well as hymns and choruses from the Methodist Hymnal are accompanied with piano and organ. The Chancel Choir rehearses in the choir room on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 – 8:00 PM. The Chancel Choir does wear traditional choir robes.
The Praise Choir and the Chancel Choir combine forces and musical styles for Christmas, Easter, and Homecoming services. Opportunities for vocal or instrumental solos, duets, women’s trios, men’s quartets, and mixed ensembles occur regularly throughout the church year. Singers of all musical levels are welcome in both choirs without audition.
